Trade Waste Systems

Trade waste is something that all Industrial sites will have to deal with on some level. Some require much more extravagant systems then others.

Whether it is waste water or contaminated processed air, each site has its own set of issues that come with their process waste. This also depends on what your local sewer authorities will permit you to discharge.

L.D. Smith has a vast range of experience in many aspects of trade waste correction systems. From PH correction, filtering, removing suspended solids, thermal oxidisation systems and much more.

These are areas that require ongoing maintenance to ensure that they are kept up to ideal running condition.

Trade waste systems become one of the most important parts of most sites, as they have the potential to stop the plant if they break down.

Backflow Prevention

Backflow is the undesirable reversal of contaminated or dirty water that goes back into our water supply. A backflow prevention device is used to protect water supplies from contamination or pollution.

Most Commercial and industrial sites will require these a RPZD (Reduced pressure zone device) at the mains inlet to their site.

Then for the individual processes around site, you may need zoning units to ensure that the internal site network is protected.

The type of unit depends on the level of risk. We can help you identify what you need and supply, install and Service these units.

In the event that you have a RPZD or a Testable double check. You need to have these tested 12 monthly to ensure that they are compliant.
